„Medjugorje is a holy place for me”

date: 15.09.2016.

The Information Office Medjugorje has registered groups of pilgrims arriving in the mid September from Ukraine, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, the United States, England, Ireland, Canada, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Lebanon, Korea, Malta, Romania, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and Brazil.

We had chance to talk to Zoran Bukur, pilgrim from Serbia, who arrived to Medjugorje for the fourth time. Zoran was here in 1988, for the first time and then for many years, due to the war, he did not have chance to come here.

This is what a pilgrim from Pancevo, Serbia, said about his experience of Medjugorje: „Ever since I was aware, I am related to the Catholic Church. I heard about Medjugorje from religious bulletin from Croatia, that we regularly received in our parish. I think it was the Holy Spirit that led me. I was in Marija Bistrica shrine too, but Medjugorje is closest to my heart. It is difficult to put into words how I feel here. I feel presence of Mary and to be here is a feast for me”, said Zoran Bukur.
