On Sunday, August 7, the Croatian Radio broadcasted live the Eucharistic celebration from St. James’ Parish Church in Medjugorje. Holy Mass was presided by Fr. Branko Rados, pastor. The Parish “Choir of the Queen of Peace” under direction of Sr. Slavica Kozul was singing. Croatian Catholic Radio, Radio Herceg-Bosna and Radio “Mir” Medjugorje also broadcasted this Mass.
“We came to adore Him” (Mt 2,2) was the title of the 16th International Youth Prayer Festival – Mladifest – which took place in Medjugorje from August 1 to 6. This encounter, which intentionally had the same title as the World Youth Day that will soon reunite young people around the Holy Father in Cologne, was one of the forms of spiritual preparation for the meeting with the Pope. At the occasion of the International Prayer Youth Festival – “Mladifest”, the Croatian Post Office Mostar is editing a special postage-stamp “Mladifest Medjugorje 2005”.
Although the International meeting of priests, which gathered together about 300 priests in Medjugorje at the beginning of July, has ended, numerous priests remained in medjugorje, making use of their holidays for a spiritual renewal.
Mons. Geevarghese Mar Divannasios Ottathengil (54), Indian catholic bishop of Syro-Malankara rite, bishop of the diocese Bathery from Kerala (India), was on pilgrimage in Medjugorje at the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the apparitions.
On Monday, July 25, the Parish Medjugorje will celebrate St. James the Apostle, its patron saint. The celebration will begin in front of the parish church at 10.30 am, by a procession with the statue of St. James.

From July 4 to 9, 2005, took place in Medjugorje the 10th International seminar for priests and religious (men). For this encounter in form of a retreat, about 300 priests from 26 countries of the world gathered together. (photos)

Fr. Branko Radoš, pastor of Medjugorje, met one of his young parishioners – the tennis player Marin Cilic.
“The Master Olof Choir” from Stockholm, Sweden, under direction of M. Bo Tobiasson, began a tour in B&H and Croatia on Saturday, July 2, in the Parish Church in Medjugorje. The choir accompanied the Evening Mass, and after Mass gave a short concert for the faithful. The concert was broadcasted live on Radio “Mir” Medjugorje.
For the 24th anniversary of the apparitions, the Information Center «Mir» Medjugorje published a new CD. This CD contains meditations and songs known to all those who are coming for Adoration to Medjugorje.
Angel Maria Garcia Alvarez (from Madrid, Spain), architect designer of the new crown offered to St. James’ in Medjugorje at the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the apparitions (also designer of the magnificent Magna Monstrance offered to the Shrine in 2001) gave a testimony about how this project came about and how it was realised.
