date: 25.09.2005.

Mons. Stanislas Lukumwena Lumbala, O.F.M., Bishop of Kole in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is on his second private pilgrimage in Medjugorje. He was ordained a priest in 1979, and a bishop in 1998. Mons. Lukumwena is the first black African Franciscan Provincial in Congo, and the first black African ordained a Bishop in Congo. He came to Medjugorje alone, for a few days of personal prayer and spiritual renewal. He spent long hours in the confessional, hearing confessions in Italian and in French. He visited the Parish Office where he spoke with the Pastor and other Franciscans serving in this parish, and he gave an interview for Radio “Mir” Medjugorje. (His testimony: preparing)
