On Saturday, December 24, we will celebrate Christmas Eve. Fasting is recommended on this day. On that morning we will celebrate last early Holy Mass at 6 am in the church of St. James. Rosary will not take place in the afternoon on Apparition Hill, and there will not be Holy Mass at 1 pm. The evening prayer programme begins with Rosary at 5 pm and Christmas Vigil Holy Mass will be at 6 pm. All priest will participate in this first Christmas Eucharist and Confessions will take place from 4 to 530 pm on that day. Cenacolo community will have live nativity scene performance after that Holy Mass. The prayer vigil will begin at 10 pm with the Eucharistic Adoration until 11.15, and Midnight Holy Mass will begin at 11.30 pm.
On Sunday, December 25, we will celebrate the Feast of the Birth of our Lord – Christmas. Holy Masses in the parish church will be at 7, 8, 11 and 6 pm, while Holy Masses in Miletina, Surmanci and Vionica will be at 10 am. After Holy Mass at 11 am, there will be traditional Christmas gathering in the area of the ruins of the old church. Whole-night Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will not take place on that day. On Wednesday, December 28, the blessing of the families begins in Medjugorje.
