First days of March in Medjugorje

date: 06.03.2016.

The Information Office registered in the first days of March, groups of pilgrims from Poland, France, Ukraine, the United States, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, China, Korea, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, England, Slovakia, Australia, Latvia and Lebanon. Besides these groups, the International Meeting of group leaders, organisers of pilgrimages, leaders of prayer and charity groups gathered participants from 25 countries. We had blessing of 34 priests concelebrating on Tuesday night, March 1, during the evening Holy Mass in St. James church. The winter timetable will be in force until June 1, meaning that Holy Mass is at 6 pm, every day in that period. We had chance to talk to Marta Marcolin, 64 years old pilgrim from Treviso, Italy, who has been organising pilgrimages to Medjugorje for seven years: „I came to Medjugorje in 2009, for the first time and this is the place where Gospa invited me and opened doors for me in the most incredible way back in that time. I used to work in school and I had just retired. One of my colleagues told me about Medjugorje and how I should come here. When I arrived, Gospa helped me open my heart, and I had enlightening experience that helped me change my life. I was able to look back at the life I had, even though I was a good person, God was not at the first place in my life. Our Lady helped me change my life and ever since then, I come here all the time. My home is in Italy, but my heart is in Medjugorje and I’ve been organising pilgrimages ever since that time“, said Marta.
