On Friday, August 4, the Youth Festival programme continued in Medjugorje. It started with the morning prayer, led by the coordinator, parish priest, Fr. Marinko Sakota, and Fr. Jacques Philippe from the Beatitudes Community gave also this day his catechesis. Young people also had opportunity to heat the testimony of Sr. Marie Emmanuelle Adam from the same community, while Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, the founder of Mary’s Meals spoke about their organisation as well as a friend of this organisation Fr. Petar Komljenović, Zrinka Skelin from Zagreb, the volunteer and Jimmy Belabre from Haiti, who used to be once the user of Mary’s Meals. Jimmy sang two songs and there was a short movie about this organisation too.
The afternoon was dedicated to the community Cenacolo, how they changed their lives in this community. They led music part of the afternoon too.
The programme continued at 6 pm with the prayer of the Rosary, led by Fr. Ivan Crnogorac, while the Holy Mass was again the central part of the day. The main celebrant was Fr. Julijan Madžar from the Franciscan Province of Bosnia Argentum, and Fr. Ivan Filipović gave a homily. There were 512 priests concelebrating and more than 780 000 viewers on the live stream. After the evening Holy Mass, as it is traditional each year, members of Cenacolo community gave a musical show for the youth at the stage they made themselves close to the Hall of St. John Paul II.
