Around thousand and a half young people, including couple of hundreds from Croatia, in the communion with the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, gathered on Friday, June 5, in the evening hours in the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sarajevo settlement Stup. „We wanted to contribute to preparations for the visit of Holy Father Francis, and the best way was with music and praise. He will not be able to hear this, but he is with us in our hearts and thoughts“, said student Nikolina Ramljak from Medjugorje. Ivan Majić from Ljubuski said that it is extremely important for them to cooperate and communicate with young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. "Young people from Okucani, Split and Metkovic are with us“, he said. All participants of this vigil prayer lit candles for all those who are persecuted because of their faith and invited all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina to do that as the symbolic act of compassion for those who are still suffering because of their faith.
