The Fifth Lenten Spiritual Renewal of the Third Franciscan Order from Herzegovina was held in Medjugorje on February 21, 2015. The programme began with a talk of the regional minister Ankica Zelenika. Then local minister Jure Cilic, as well as the local spiritual assistant, Fr. Ivan Landeka Jr. welcomed everyone together with the parish priest Fr. Marinko Sakota. Fr. Ljubo Kurtovic, the regional spiritual assistant spoke about the importance of this renewal and then Fr. Danko Perutina gave a lecture with theme: “Lent – time of renunciation and choice”. Around 350 members of the Third Franciscan Order from 14 local ministries participated and the programme was enriched with the singing and music of the YouFra from Medjugorje. After the lectures, everyone had time to prepare for the confessions and then they all gathered for the evening prayer programme in the church of St. James. The members of the fraternities led prayer of the Rosary before the Holy Mass.
