Many pilgrims are expected to come to Medjugorje, especially the youth, from all over the world on this New Year’s Eve. The prayer programme will begin at 5 pm with Rosary. Thanksgiving Holy Mass will be at 6 pm, and Cenacolo community will give another live Nativity scene performance after Holy Mass in front of the church of St. James. The prayer vigil will begin at 10 pm, after that, the Midnight Holy Mass will begin at 11.30 pm. The programme will be transmitted in the Hall of John Paul II, and radio Mir will have the live broadcast too.
On Sunday, January 1, 2017, we celebrate the Feast of Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God and it is also civil New Year. Holy Masses will be in the parish church at 7,8,11 am and at 6 pm and in the branch churches in Miletina, Vionica and Šurmanci at 11am. After the evening Holy Mass there will be another live nativity scene performance given by Cenacolo community, around 7 pm.
