Ever since the beginning of October, month dedicated to Our Lady, many pilgrims have come to Medjugorje from all over the world. The largest groups of pilgrims arrive from Croatia. The last weekend, a group of 75 pilgrims from the parish of St. John the Baptist, from Postire, island Brac, arrived here. The organiser of this pilgrimage is Vilma Lazaneo, who said in the programme of Radio „Mir“ Medjugorje that parishioners from this parish arrive here at least once a month.
„We come here as this is Mary’s place, place of prayer, close to our hearts. The first visit is to Apparition Hill, testimonies, rosary, Holy Mass, Adoration and confessions follow afterwards. All those pilgrims come to Medjugorje for this is special place, place of prayer, conversion, reconciliation, communion and love“, said Vilma.
Fanica Matolić hasn’t been here since 1981. „Even after 35 years, I am still thrilled. I will try to come every year, as Medjugorje leaves profound input in us. Toni Glavinić was also part of this groups and he said: „Medjugorje pours peace and gives us spiritual renewal. Each year we come here, and we also take part in the Youth Festival”. (photos)
