About 50 members of the prayer group “Prayer and Word” – MiR – from Rijeka (Croatia) came on pilgrimage to Medjugorje from October 1 to 3. Fr. Tomislav Hrstic accompanied the pilgrimage.
In Medjugorje, they met other members of the same prayer community from Split, Zagreb and Osijek. The second day of their pilgrimage began at 6 am with an hour of meditation followed by the Way of the Cross on Cross Mountain and the visit to the communities “Oasis of Peace” and Cenacolo”. About 1000 Croatian pilgrims gathered that day in “Cenacolo” to listen to the testimonies of the boys about the evil of drugs and their new life in the community, which has changed them completely. In the afternoon, they all went for confession followed by the Evening prayer programme. On Sunday morning, they prayed at the Apparition Hill and at the Blue Cross, and they went for mass. In the busses on their journey home, they were sharing their experiences.
The intention of this pilgrimage was peace: peace in all the hearts, peace with God and with men.
