On Saturday, August 4, the programme of the 29th International Prayer Encounter of the Youth, continued in Medjugorje. The prayer at 9 am was led by Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest and the catechesis this morning was given by the Apostolic Visitor for Medjugorje parish, Mons. Henryk Hoser.
Young people also had chance to hear the testimony of Toma Lascelles, 21- years old young man from England. He spoke about disability as a gift in his life. Fr. Stefano Albanesi gave a testimony on his life from the professional soccer player to the priest in Assisi.
The afternoon part of the programme was dedicated to the Cenacolo community and members of this community from the whole world spoke how community changed their lives. They also led the music and singing in that afternoon. The programme continued with the prayer of the Rosary at 6 pm, led by Fr. Ivan Hrkac, while the central part of this day was the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. MIljenko Steko, the Provincial of Herzegovinian Franciscan Province. There were 537 priests concelebrating. The evening programme had 999 500 viewers throughout the world. After the evening Holy Mass, as traditionally, members of Cenacolo community had their performance play at the stage they had set close to the Hall of John Paul II. (photos)
