Antonia Tartaglione from Italy came to Medjugorje with a group of pilgrims and shared with us her testimony of healing that we bring in fullness here:
„I found out about Medjugorje from persons who came here and I realised it was something like a magical, personal experience. I went through something similar when on March 27, 2011 I decided to come to Medjugorje with my husband and my sister. I was going through a very difficult period in my life as I was diagnosed with cancer in my stomach that had metastasis in 13 lymph nodes in 2010. Doctors were able to isolate it and due to the pathological condition I had surgery and was receiving chemotherapy in the hospital. After I arrived to Medjugorje, I felt immense peace, it was something I cannot describe, as if I was in the perfect harmony with this place. The next day, on March 28, 2011, after the Holy Mass, I met Vicka visionary and shared with her about my illness and my difficulties, what I went through. Besides that I also told her that I suffered because of the death of my mom, who died in 1958 when I was only 10 years old. That is why I always felt close to Our Lady. I asked Vicka to remember me in her prayers, so Gospa would help me face difficult period I had. She hugged me and told me not to worry, that she would pray for me. In that moment I felt as if the fire was going through me, from head to toe, it was strange sensation I never felt before and it lasted for few seconds. I was filled with profound, deep inner peace afterwards. It was as if no one around me existed. I only listened to silence, as if there was not anything else. When I returned home, after several months of chemotherapy, the routine check up showed that my lymph nodes were only 3 cm, which was much less than before, even that seemed to be as it shrank and never existed really. The doctor, oncologist, clearly told me: „Antonia, you had a miracle, there is nothing left here anymore”. I asked her if she believed in God and she said: „Can’t you see the statue of Our Lady at my working desk”. That was the day when I was completely healed. I always prayed, every day and I thank and will continue to thank to Our Lady. The purpose of sharing this is to witness my faith. I shared my experience with many people and priests. They told me I experienced Holy Spirit’s work on me. Every year, on May 2, I come to Medjugorje for apparition of Our Lady and I will continue to come as long as I am able to. I cannot miss that magnificent encounter with Heaven, with Mother Mary. I will never miss that.”
