There are around 300 participans gathered to take part in the 19th International Spiritual Retreat for Married Couples coming from 15 countries: Ukraine, Austria, Hungary, Belgium, the United States, Poland, Slovakia, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Lebanon, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are nine priests who arrived as the companions to the participants, all part of the counseling boards for married couples in their countries. The retreat began on November 7, 2018 with the registration of the participants and continued with the introduction to the seminar at 4 pm and then all participants joined the evening prayer programme in the church of St. James. The Mons. Henryk Hoser was the main celebrant, the Apostolic Visitor for the parish of Medjugorje, along with 71 priests concelebrating. The lecturers at the retreat are Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest in Medjugorje and Jozefina Škarica, MD and family counselor. The theme of the retreat is:
