The 21st Seminar for Priests finished in Medjugorje

The 21st Seminar for Priests was held in Medjugorje and there were 304 participants from 24 countries. The Seminar was concluded on Saturday, July 9, with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest, who was leader of this seminar along with Fr. Damir Pavic, parish priest from Brestovsko, Bosnia.

The Seminar began on Monday, July 4, 2016 with the evening prayer programme held at the White Dome of St. James’ church, and Fr. Marinko celebrated the opening Holy Mass along with 185 priests concelebrating.

The theme of this year’s seminar was “Be as merciful as your Heavenly Father is” (Lk 6, 36). - „In Our Lady’s school“. Besides lectures, the participants of the seminar took part in the evening prayer programme and climbed Apparition Hill on Thursday morning, as well as Cross Mountain on Friday morning for the Way of the Cross. Prayer on Fr. Slavko’s grave, founder of this seminar, was held on Saturday morning.

The fruits of this seminar were immense, as many participants witnessed at the end of the retreat. The parishioners again this year offered accommodation and food for free to all of the priests who took part in this retreat.
