The 4th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities began in Medjugorje

The 4th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities began in Medjugorje on Thursday, June 11, with the evening Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Marinko Sakota, coordinator of this pilgrimage along with 44 other priests concelebrating with him. The organiser of this meeting is the Association “Encounter” from Citluk, in cooperation with Mother’s Village and parish office Medjugorje. The theme is “In Mary’s School” and more than 1500 participants gathered from Latvia, Ukraine, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, the United States, Italy, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Around 200 participants are joining this programme from the surrounding area of Medjugorje and are returning to their homes in the evening. Welcoming words were given by Fr. Marinko Sakota, Jasminka Vasilj, the President of Association “Encounter” and Paula Tomic, on behalf of Mother’s Village. The introduction of communities, associations and participants followed. „We are beginning our pilgrimage; we are here to be at your disposal, to serve to you persons with disabilities. We are learning from you, our dear friends and we can receive so much from you.” said Fr. Marinko. (photos)
