„That your love may increase ever more (Phil 1, 9) „In Our Lady’s School“

The 6th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities will be held in Medjugorje from June 15 – 18, 2017. Gathering and accommodation of pilgrims in homes of the parishioners shall take place on Thursday, June 15. What makes this pilgrimage more unique, it is the fact that parishioners of Medjugorje parish offer free accommodation to the participants. The Organisation Board of the Pilgrimage, along with the representatives of the local communities Medjugorje and Bijakovici, has made some decisions last year and those shall remain in force also this year, as follows:

  • The Pilgrimage will remain entirely free for PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AND FOR 1 (ONE) OF THEIR COMPANIONS (either a parent, companion or carer). Also,  bus / minivan drivers have free accommodation.
  • The other members of the families, second companions or friends and volunteers need to pay 60 euros per person (price for three half-boards).
  • Accommodation is half-board based.
  • As agreed with the host, it is possible to have dinner in the house (buffet type)
  • If they are to arrive on Friday, June 16, price per person is 50 euros.
  • Final deadline for applications is May 30, 2017 at the email address gospina.skola@gmail.com

PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN YOUR APPLICATION: arrival time, contact phone number, total number of pilgrims, name of person / child with disability and type of disability and name of one companion who will have free accommodation, as well as role and duty of other persons who will pay for their accommodation.

We would kindly like to ask organisers and leaders of pilgrimages to care about genuine needs of those who are registering for pilgrimages, so all unnecessary conflicts could be avoided. Thank you!
