The encounter of postulants

date: 17.02.2014.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014, the postulants of the Franciscan Province of Bosnia Argentina visited postulants of Herzegovina Franciscan Province. Eight postulants from our province together with their leader Fr. Stanko Mabic met all postulants from Visoko and their leader Fr. Danijel Rajic.
They arrived to Mostar a little before noon and together with all Franciscans from Mostar monastery they prayed Midday Prayer, followed by lunch. After the welcome greeting by Fr. Iko Skoko, guardian of the monastery and Fr. Miljenko Steko, the Provincial of Herzegovina Franciscan Province, Fr. Danijel thanked for their hospitality and emphasised how this encounter will contribute to mutual relations and friendships of the future priests. They had opportunity to see the monastery and Fr. Ante Maric, as their guide explained them all about foundation of Herzegovina Franciscan Province that has nearly the same history as the province of Bosnia Argentina. Afterwards, they visited foundations of the old- Christian basilica in Cim. They gathered later in the facilities of Postulancy and took a trip to mountain Hum, where a huge and beautiful cross was built on the top after the recent homeland war. Their trip ended in Medjugorje where they participated in the evening prayer programme and had dinner with their hosts. During the farewell speeches, both of the leaders expressed their satisfaction with this event and Fr. Danijel said that they expect their Herzegovinian brothers a little before Easter in Visoko. Everyone at the end said how they were truly pleased and content that these encounters will continue in the future and hoped that those will unite and connect them even more, especially their trust that can only serve to common good of all.
