The Order of Malta Clinic in Medjugorje reopened on Palm Sunday

date: 18.04.2015.

The Order of Malta reopened their clinic in Medjugorje on Palm Sunday. Their hours are from 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. They will continue to work until November 1, 2015. All of the staff are volunteers who do not charge pilgrims for their services and the clinic is financed through contributions and donations. The service is provided in accordance with the motto of the Order of Malta: “Defence of the faith and aid to the people in need.” The head of the clinic, Helga Recht-Gerdes, told us: “The Gospa is helping us and we hope that we will continue to work and help other people as she helps us. Many donors and volunteers come, mostly from Germany, but also from Hungary, Italy, France.  The doctors and nurses are mostly locals.”
