The 20th International Seminar for priests which gathered around 400 participants from 20 countries finished on Saturday with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Ivan-Ike Mandurić, this year’s lecturer.
The seminar began on Monday, July 6, 2015 with the evening prayer programme and opening Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest and 311 priests who concelebrated with him. The theme of this year’s seminar was “Peace be with you”. Apart from the lectures, the participants took part in the evening prayer programme and also prayed the Way of the Cross on Friday at Cross Mountain, as well as Rosary on Apparition Hill on Thursday. Fr. Stanko Dodig, Franciscan Capuchin serving in Dubrovnik at the moment, came here for the fourth time. This is what he told us: “It is about the spirituality and we come here to strengthen our own spiritual life. If the hearts of the recipients are closed, no leader can pour that into us. It is up to each one of us to decide whether we want to take that journey or not. That journey begins here. One needs to come to Medjugorje with the open heart to receive all that is being given here.”
