On Saturday, May 30, after the evening Holy Mass, Medjugorje prays the Rosary for peace with the Holy Father

In these days marked by armed conflicts between various countries, Pope Leo XIV wishes to express a gesture of closeness to each of them by praying the Rosary for the gift of peace, on May 30, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in front of the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican.

This prayer event will also be broadcast live and shared with all shrines that wish to participate.

Among the larger shrines that have already joined the initiative are: the Shrine of the Mother of God (Zarvancja, Ukraine), the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Path (Antipolo, Philippines), the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary (Fatima, Portugal), the Shrine of the Queen of Peace (Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes (Lourdes, France), the Shrine of St. Charbel in Annaya (Byblos, Lebanon) and the Papal Shrine of the Holy House (Loreto, Italy)…, the Dicastery for Evangelization announced.

Tomorrow, May 30, in Medjugorje, as usual, the Rosary will be said at the White Dome of the Church of St. James from 5 p.m., and Holy Mass will be celebrated from 6 p.m. After the Mass, there will not be adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, as is customary, but the recitation of the Rosary with Pope Leo XIV.

The live broadcast of the Rosary from the Vatican will be on a video wall next to the outer altar, so that the faithful will join in prayer with the Holy Father, who will also see them, since the live video broadcast from Medjugorje will be shown in the Vatican.
