Peace Walk and Prayer Program in Medjugorje for the 45th Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Queen of Peace

A novena to the Queen of Peace is about to end on the eve of the 45th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje. Every day at 4 p.m. the rosary is said on Apparition Hill, parishioners and priests pray the rosary every evening at the White Dome of the Church of St. James, where Holy Mass is celebrated at 7 p.m.

Thursday, June 25th, is the 45th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady. Holy Masses in Croatian are in the parish church at 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 a.m, English Holy Mass at 12 pm, and the central solemn Holy Mass is at 7 p.m. As on every 25th of the month, immediately after the mass there will be a joint adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, which then continues in silence until 7 a.m.

Wednesday is the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, which is also the anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady. Holy Masses in the parish church are at 8, 11 and 7 pm. After the evening Holy Mass, there will be a one-hour adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, which will continue in silence until 6 am in the morning.

''The Peace Walk is on Wednesday, June 24. As every year, the Walk leaves at 6 am in the morning in front of the Monastery of St. Anthony in Humac. Arrival in front of the parish church is scheduled for around 10 am. We therefore invite all of you parishioners and pilgrims, especially the younger ones, to join in the prayer for peace. "It is a nice custom for our parishioners to offer refreshments to the participants of the Peace Walk when they pass by the houses - from Podmiletina along the main road towards the parish church," the Medjugorje parish office invites, noting that a bus for the Peace Walk will be organized, which will depart at 5 am in front of the statue of Our Lady, and that you can register at the parish office.
