Feast of the Patron Saint

date: 29.07.2005.

On July 25, the parish Medjugorje celebrated the feast of its patron saint, St. James the Apostle. During the morning, as usually, the Eucharistic celebration began and ended with the singing of the Litanies of All Saints and a procession with St. James’ statue, which was carried this year by the parishioners from Vasilji. Holy Mass was celebrated at the park near the old church. It was presided by Fr. Tomislav Puljic, and concelebrated by Fr. Slavko Soldo, the Franciscan provincial of Herzegovina, Fr. Branko Rados, pastor of Medjugorje, and several local and foreign priests. The parishioners prepared themselves for the feast of their patron saint and the patron saint of the pilgrims by a tridium.
