On foot to Medjugorje

Last year during Lent, while praying the Way of the cross, Josip Jurina and Stjepan Sačer from Gornja Stubica, Croatia, decided to come on foot to Medjugorje. They were preparing themselves, and made a pilgrimage on foot to Marija Bistrica (27 kilometers), they started their pilgrimage to Medjugorje on May 27. they took 11 days to cros 550 kilometers. On arrival to Medjugorje, on June 6, they participated in the Evening prayer program, and the next day, they climbed the Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain.

“It was like a bath after a long time”, said Josip Jurina, 80% invalid. „To be in Medjugorje is an exceptional feeling, and i hope to come again in autumn”.

Stjepan Sačer declared: “I came on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje for the first time in 2005, and after this, I came several times. In Medjugorje, I have learned to pray, especially the Rosary, which i did not know before coming here. For me, every pilgrimage to Medjugorje means to learn to pray better”.

Josip and Stjepan went back home on Sunday, June 8, by bus with pilgrims from Gornja Stubica, and on their way home, they went for Mass to the Shrine of Our Lady of Sinj.
