On Sunday, August 2, after the evening Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Fillip Pavlovic, young priest born in Medjugorje, the procession with the Statue of Our Lady was held. The homily was given by Fr. Ivan Filipovic, a priest who was ordained after his healing from drugs in Cenacolo community. Young people from Switzerland carried the Statue of Our Lady in the area in front of the church, and the procession was conducted by Fr. Perica Ostojic. Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest said: “The Queen of Peace tells us often – I am with you. As this Statue is now among us, She is among us in the last 34 years. In all of these years, She has been inviting us in motherly way, with lots of love and patience. She tells us – I am the Queen of Peace and I will show you the way to peace.” Three young representatives from each country slowly followed the Statue of Our Lady. These young people represented all others from their nations. The procession moved in the shape of a heart, for Our Lady teaches us how to pray with the heart. After the Statue of Our Lady was brought to the altar, the Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament began. The International choir accompanied these beautiful meditations over the word of Our Lady.
