From October 4 to 6, 2004, the members of the Hispanic Movement of Centers and Prayer Groups of Mary Queen of Peace, had their annual meeting in Medjugorje. 120 people came from Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, and United States. They were blessed with the company of 9 priests that came with them. It was a profound activity with a great spiritual unity among all who were present.
They had the visit of Fr. Branko Rados, Fr. Svetozar Kraljević, the members of the Cenacle Community, the Oasis of Peace, and sisters of the Community of the Beatitudes. They went to visit Fr. Jozo and also the Church of Tihaljina. They went to Jakov’s house, who very kindly gave them his personal testimony. October 6th, they had a morning of reflection and prayer at the Retreat House of St. Giuseppe. They visited the Risen Christ, the Tomb of Fr. Slavko, the Mother’s Village, St. Francis Garden, and of course, they climbed the Podbrdo and the Krizevac. They were able to celebrate the Mass in Spanish every day at the Adoration chapel.
This yearly meeting in Medjugorje has been a very important opportunity for every country, because they all have the opportunity to enrich their groups with the experiences that other groups have, and learn from the problems that they share. The fact that they all speak the language of Our Mother is a powerful and encouraging realization of the universality of the message. Medjugorje is school for our daily life. They encourage everyone to come to Medjugorje.
