The 34th Youth Festival ended this morning on Cross Mountain with a Holy Mass at 5 a.m. celebrated by the Međugorje parish priest Fr. Zvonimir Pavičić.
Hundreds of young people climbed all night, some went to Cross Mountain immediately after the evening Holy Mass and slept over: Young people from the international choir sang at the Holy Mass, and after the Holy Mass they continued with the song at the foot of the cross on Cross Mountain.
Jesus says that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man finds, like a beautiful pearl. And when it is found, you have to sell everything and buy it. This means that nothing in this world is more valuable than the Kingdom of Heaven. With this Holy Mass, we end the Youth Festival. Let our decision after this Youth Festival be that we want to live with God. May our heart always yearn for God, may our eyes be always turned towards heaven, to the Kingdom of Heaven. And may our heavenly mother, the Queen of Peace, help us achieve that Kingdom,'' said Fr. Zvonimir Pavičić in his homily, and in the course of the morning the young people came down from Cross Mountain with song and prayer on their lips, announcing their arrival at the next Youth Festival.
During the past five days, young people from all over the world celebrated Holy Masses in Medjugorje, listened to catechesis and lectures, as well as numerous powerful testimonies, prayed on Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain, confessed in this confessional of the world... (FOTO)
