We believe you were rejoiced to hear the good news of Pope Francis authorising the pilgrimages to Medjugorje and now, since May 12, all dioceses and parishes and all other Catholic institutions are allowed to organise the official pilgrimages, that no longer have the "private" character.
In this short time, we received several requests for the news on our web site to be translated more swiftly and in more languages, if possible. In order for us to please desires and needs of all of you, we need your help in translations in this new time in Our Lady's school of Medjugorje.
Pope Francis has decided to authorise pilgrimages to Medjugorje, which can now be officially organised by dioceses and parishes and will no longer take place only in a private capacity which as has so far been the case.
The announcement was made today during Mass, at the parish shrine which has become a destination for millions of pilgrims, by the Apostolic Nuncio Luigi Pezzuto in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Archbishop Henryk Hoser, the Holy See's Special Apostolic Visitator, as reported by the Vatican News.

''For two thousand years there is no better news than this one, Risen Jesus, Son of God, is looking for us where we are. He is not afraid to come close to us, to touch us in our depths and to take us up, to the fullness of life. This miracle takes place each day here in Medjugorje. We come back to the grace of our baptism and become able to spread the faith of the Church and to walk on the path of holiness and salvation'', said Mons. Hoser and added that St. John Paul II, in the year 2000, introduced the first Sunday after the Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday, the greatest fruit of His Death and Resurrection''. (photo)

How many Christians were baptised, received the sacraments, fell into the sins and became atheists, liberals and enemies of the Christ and His Church. Crucify him, forbid him and spit on him!
How many times we force crosses on others instead of helping them to carry those crosses? How many times we betray God and our loved ones?
Dear brothers and sisters, the Holy Week is inviting us to weep just like St. Peter did. He swore that he did not know Jesus and then recalled His words to him, that he would deny him three times before the rooster crows. And so Peter came out and wept bitterly. Yes, we all need those tears.
Good Friday is a day of strict fasting. As per instructions of our Diocese, all alms collected on Good Friday are intended for Holy Land. Confession shall take place from 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
The prayer programme will be broadcasted by Radio Mir Medjugorje. In Holy Triduum, all priests take part in the evening prayer programme and once the Holy Mass starts, there will no longer be any opportunity for confessions.
The Archbishop Pezzuto thanked Fr. Marinko at the end of Holy Mass, as well as Mons. Henryk Hoser, the Apostolic Visitor for the parish of Medjugorje for having invited him here and he said that is always his great desire to be here in Medjugorje.
“As the Apostolic Nuncio, my wish is to pass on to you greetings and the blessing of Holy Father Francis. Also, on his behalf, I wish to thank all priests and all those who take part in this parish. Thank you all for your presence here in such a great number. Once again, I wish to encourage you that the journey we started together here, that is also the will of the Holy Father, with each one of your efforts it may bring its fruits and have a great success”, said the Apostolic Nuncio at the end of the Holy Mass.
