On the Feast of St. James the Apostle, July 25, patron of Medjugorje parish, solemn Holy Mass was at 11 am in the garden in the vicinity of the church. The procession with the statute of St. James followed from the church to the garden, and the Apostolic Visitor for Medjugorje parish, Henryk Hoser, was the main celebrant of this Holy Mass. On Thursday, July 25, we will celebrate the Feast of St. James the Great, patron saint of Medjugorje parish. Holy Masses are going to be celebrated at 7, 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. while the central celebration will be at 11 a.m. in the Garden opposite to the ruins of the old church.
The procession with the statue of St. James will begin at 10.45 a.m. and parishioners of Vionica will have the honour to carry the statue this year.

New album of Mario Zovko „Ave Maria Sacred Arias“ is now available in the souvenir shop of the Information Centre Mir Medjugorje, the first album of this author produced since 2007. This project was developed for two years and Zovko is the author of orchestra arrangements and production, vocals were recorded with his old friend Fr. Gordan Bozic, all mentored by another one of his old and good friends, maestro Fr. Dragan Filipovic, while the members of the female vocal group Draca sing as back vocals.

On Monday, July 8, the 24th Spiritual Retreat for the Priests began in Medjugorje with the evening Holy Mass celebrated by dr. fra Miljenko Šteko, the Provincial of Herzegovinian Franciscan Province.
Parishioners of Medjugorje hosted all priests also this year at the retreat held with the theme “Follow me! “ (Mk 10, 21) and will be continued with prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and lectures. (photo)

The spiritual retreat shall be held in Medjugorje from July 8-13, 2019. As in the previous years, several hundreds of priests shall take part in this retreat and in the prayer programme held in the church of St. James. Fr. Miljenko Šteko said at the beginning that “we wish to praise God for our holy Church, that recognised all fruits of Medjugorje and became specially present here through the Apostolic Visitor Archbishop Henryk Hoser, who entrusted me with the celebration of this Holy Mass and whose greetings I would like to pass on.''
Fr. Miljenko Šteko said in his homily that Mary forwards us to the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, not to our own strength. She directs us to be opened to God’s grace, to completely surrender to it, so this grace can be reflected in us. (photo)

The visionary Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez had her regular annual apparition on June 25th 2019. At her last daily apparition on May 7, 1985, Our Lady confided to Ivanka the 10th secret and told her that she would have an apparition once a year on the anniversary of the apparitions. It was that way also this year.
The apparition, which lasted 4 minutes (18:37h - 18:41h), took place at Ivanka’s family home. Only Ivanka’s family was present at the apparition. After the apparition, Ivanka said:
Our Lady gave the following message: “Little children, pray, pray, pray.”

At the Eve of the Apparitions of the Queen of Peace in Medjugorje, the Feast of St. John the Baptist, June 24, Fr. Ljubo Kurtovic was the main celebrant of the evening Holy Mass with 196 priests concelebrating and many faithful who arrived on this occasion.
Fr. Ljubo is the parish priest in Humac, where the Peace Walk began yesterday with the blessing of pilgrims and prayer outside the shrine of St. Anthony in Humac at 6 am and arrived to Medjugorje around 10 am. Fr. Marinko Sakota led the prayers during this traditional Walk. Today we celebrate the Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions and the main Holy Mass shall take place at 7 pm, followed by the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 7 am, as it is the practice on every 25th in the month. The Corpus Christi Solemnity on June 20, 2019 was celebrated in Medjugorje and the evening Holy Mass main celebrant was the Apostolic Visitor for the parish of Medjugorje, Archbishop HenrykHoser with 34 priests concelebrating.
The Procession with the Most Blessed Sacrament followed after the evening Holy Mass with many parishioners, priests, religious and pilgrims from all over the world. The Benediction at the White Dome altar followed after the liturgical readings, Rosary and songs as the part of this Procession. (photo)
