The change of timetable of the evening prayer programme

The timetable of the evening prayer programme is changing as of Thursday, September 1. Rosary will be at 5 p.m., Holy Mass at 6 p.m., and all other prayer services after the evening Holy Mass depending on each day's schedule.

50th wedding anniversary in Medjugorje with 13 children and 36 grandchildren

Marta Sanfelia and Antonio Gamiz, a couple from Barcelona, came this June to Medjugorje on a pilgrimage with all members of their family: 13 children and 36 grandchildren, and the reason of their visit was celebration of the 50^th wedding anniversary. They came to Medjugorje in 2009, for the first time and ever since then, they keep returning here.

Thanksgiving to the Queen of Peace

Two friends from Austria, Herbert Fuik from Graz and Herbert Fuchs from Vienna, placed in thanksgiving to Gospa wooden crosses on Cross Mountain on August 8, 2001. Those crosses were placed along bronze reliefs, work of famous Italian sculptor Carmello Puzzolo. These crosses were replacement of those that were there from the beginning and that god destroyed due to the weather conditions.

Marco Bonafaccia, a pilgrim from Rome: „Međugorje has become my life“

Marco Bonafaccia, 42, is a leader of prayer group that meets in basilica of St. Anastasia in Rome. He came on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje with his wife. Marco was our guest at the radio station Mir Medjugorje and he spoke about his experience of Medjugorje and prayer group he is leading. He said that he came here for the first time in 2002.

The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated in Medjugorje

The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was solemnly celebrated in Medjugorje, with many foriegn and domectic pilgrims who arrived for this occasion. Most of the pilgrims were youth, who arrived walking to Medjugorje during the night and solemn morning, when they confessed and took part in Holy Masses. (photos)

President of Republic of Croatia came to Medjugorje on a pilgrimage

The President of Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, came to Medjugorje on a private visit when she also visited other towns in Herzegovina. During her three-days stay in Medjugorje, she visited places of prayer, church of St. James and Hill of apparitions of the Queen of Peace.

Message of peace sent from Medjugorje

Group „Youth of Mary“ from Lebanon organised interfaith encounter in Medjugorje in duration of one week. The representatives of Sunni, Shiite, Maronite, Catholic and Orthodox religion from Lebanon, shared their experiences on interfaith life, as they all gathered around the Virgin Mary, the Queen of Peace. The 27th Youth Festival finished with Holy Mass on Cross Mountain

The 27^th Youth Festival that began on August 1, 2016, was completed on Saturday, August 6, on the Feast of Transfiguration of Our Lord, with Holy Mass of Thanksgiving at 5 am, celebrated by Fr. Marinko Sakota, Medjugorje parish priest. The theme of this year’s prayer meeting was “Be merciful”, and dozens of thousands of young people from 69 countries came to Medjugorje.

The central event of this day, August 3, was the evening Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Ivan Penavic, newly ordained priest, member of Herzegovinian Franciscan Province, while Fr. Ivan Ike Mandurić, member of Jesuit Society in Croatia, gave the homily. (photos)

Procession with the youth held in Medjugorje

On Wednesday, August 3, after the evening Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Ivan Penavic, newly ordained priest, member of the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province, while homily was given by Fr. Ivan Ike Manduric, the procession with the representatives of young people in the shape of a heart was held in Medjugorje. Young people from Switzerland carried the statue of Our Lady and everything took place outside the White Dome of St. James’ church.

The programme of Prayer Meeting for the Youth, Tuesday – August 2

During the 27^th International Prayer Meeting for the Youth, on Tuesday, August 2, young people climbed Apparition Hill at 6 am, where they prayed Rosary together. The programme of the Festival continued at 9 am at the White Dome with prayer that Fr. Stanko Cosic led and lecture given by Fr. Damir Stojic, member of Salesians of Don Bosco in Croatia and the lecture was on the theme of God’s Mercy and Merciful Father. (foto)

Fr. Boris Barun testimony’s at the Youth festival, Tuesday 2nd of August

Fr. Boris Baron, Parisian priest of the Franciscan Province, testified to the youth during the morning programme, on Tuesday 2^nd of August. Fr. Boris said he was very grace to spend one year in Medjugorje, a place of grace.
